Macrolane Injection Treatment
Macrolane is an innovative product currently indicated for volume restoration and shaping of body surfaces, for example, breast shaping, the calves and buttocks. Macrolane can also even out discrepancies in the skin surface, for example, those caused by liposuction and surgical scars.
The injectable gel is manufactured using Q-Med’s patented technology, NASHATM, for the production of stabilised non-animal hyaluronic acid. Use of NASHA gel has been clinically proven and well documented in facial aesthetics for over 10 years with Restylane.
Macrolane VRF (Volume Restoration Factor) is available in two different formulations - Macrolane VRF 20 and Macrolane VRF 30. Each is designed to be tailored to your individual treatment needs, with VRF 30 containing a thicker gel.
Macrolane™ Treatment
Macrolane is the first body shaping treatment using hyaluronic acid. Macrolane is injected deep into the subcutis under local anaesthetic. Macrolane VRF comes in two formulations that can be injected separately or in combination to ensure full correction and smoothness of the skin surface. The formulation and volume of Macrolane used (either VRF 20 or VRF 30) will be dependant on the individual and treatment area.
If you injected hyaluronic acid in its natural form into the body, it would break down in just a few days, and any treatment benefit would be very short-lived. The unique stabilization process patented by Q-Med and used in the manufacture of Macrolane results in a hyaluronic acid gel which closely resembles the body’s own hyaluronic acid. This provides long-lasting treatment benefits and minimises the risk of a tissue reaction.
Benefits of MacrolaneTM
Market research has shown there to be a significant number of women who would like to adjust the shape of their body in a natural, non-permanent way that does not involve the use of implants or body fat in a major surgical procedure. Many women are also very hesitant about undergoing general anesthesia or being left with a scar. With Macrolane, the procedure is short and requires only local anaesthetic and minimal time away from work or after-work activities.
Advantages of treatment with Macrolane
1.Local anaesthesia
2.Less invasive
3.Non-surgical procedure
4.No hospital stay needed, short recovery
5.Macrolane gel contains stabilised hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin and plays an important part in skin health
